Select USA ASEAN Roadshow in Bangkok

On 10 February 2026, Mr. Viboon Suphakornpongkul, Vice President of the Association, and Mr. Koravit Thummanond, Association Officer, attended the SelectUSA ASEAN Roadshow in Bangkok at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok, organized by the Embassy of the United States. The key takeaways are as follows:

The United States is one of the world’s most attractive investment destinations, supported by its large-scale economy, transparent business environment, strong rule of law, and well-developed infrastructure that facilitates the expansion of foreign businesses. However, entering the U.S. market does not mean accessing a single, unified market, but rather an economic system comprising 50 states, each with significantly different tax structures, labor laws, investment incentives, and business ecosystems.

As the United States prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding (Freedom 250), the government has reaffirmed its readiness to welcome foreign investors through a transparent legal framework, strong protection of intellectual property rights, and declining energy costs driven by the development of new energy sources.

At present, several major Thai companies have already invested and established operations in the United States, including CP Foods, Hana Microelectronics, Indorama Ventures, and Chicken of the Sea, with investments distributed across multiple states.
